Optical Film
Optical Film is also called prism film. It is the key component of the TFT LCD backlight module, which consists of light, Optical Film, Light Guide Plate or Diffuser, Reflector and protection film). Main function is to utilize refraction and reflection of light from diffuser to concentrate within ±35 degree view angle. Moreover, it can recycle and decrease loss of the underutilized light that is out of the viewing angle through reflection. This way, the brightness of the center viewing angle can be increased and the viewing angle can be managed through actual requirement to provide efficient utilization and recycle.
Generally, 1 Optical Film can increase 40-60% of brightness. Higher brightness can be reached with 2 sheets of Optical Film placed with optical microstructure vertical to each other. Generally speaking, for the LCD display, monitor need 1 sheet, NB and TV need two. Therefore, Optical Film is closely related to LCD panel and backlight module industry.

Product Characteristics
＊ Probright’s Optical Film utilize special patented prism design granted by Omron: higher peak with every two lower peaks to form a “mountain”-shape.
＊ Brightness is higher than those generally available in the market.
＊ There are two types of product. G type has wider pitch and is suitable for mid and large size application. H type present smaller pitch and is suitable for small size application.
＊ Special matted coating design is able to provide scratch proof capability. It can also reduce the Newton’s ring effect and improve the capability of defect elimination to replace the upper diffuser function.
